The project
The cost of smoking is a number nobody really works out. Tabac Besoin asked a few questions, pack price and daily use, then made the total visible by week, by month, by year, before projecting the long-term impact.
The questionnaire was open to non-smokers too, to estimate what someone close to them spends. Its listing at the time was up to date with the new November 2010 pack pricing and described the app, without overselling it, as a "technological remedy for smoking".
What the app did
- A short questionnaire, open to non-smokers as well
- The cost calculated by week, by month and by year
- A projection of the long-term impact
- A comparison with tangible purchases
- Figures up to date with the November 2010 pricing
