The project
Counting the seconds between the flash and the thunder is an old reflex. Fulgur turned it into a gesture: hold your finger at the flash, release at the thunder, and the app converts the elapsed time into a distance.
The result appears on a live map, with a colour indicator for the risk level. It shipped in seven languages.
